More than a month on from Zimbabwe’s presidential elections there are still no official results, despite suggestions of a run-off poll.
Unrest and violence continue with accusations that any run-off election would be polluted by government party intimidation.
But while many western journalists are banned from entering the country, a young South Australian film-maker has been given unprecedented access to film Zimbabwe’s homeless soccer team.
The team is training to come to Melbourne in November for this year’s Homeless Soccer World Cup.
It is the final call at Adelaide airport where film-making team James Maiden and his wife, Kristie, are saying their goodbyes and reflecting on their fears.
“We are going into a country that is in a situation of turmoil and unrest at the moment but it’s only driving me more,” James said.
